Aim

Welcome to “Advanced Odoo Administration: Getting the Most Out of Odoo”! This course is designed for seasoned users and administrators ready to elevate their Odoo skills. As a comprehensive business management suite, Odoo offers extensive features and functionalities that can significantly enhance your business operations.

This advanced course will delve into Odoo’s technical settings, revealing the secrets that unlock potent capabilities. You will understand access rights deeply and learn how to safely and effectively modify them to suit your organisation’s unique needs. We will also explore how to optimise email templates, automate workflows with precision, and leverage the full potential of Odoo Studio to customise your environment without requiring extensive technical knowledge.

Outline

1. Intro to Odoo’s technical settings: Learn how to reach them, what they can help you achieve, and what to be mindful of. The technical settings hold hidden secrets, which are broadly explained at the beginning of the course.

2. Deep dive into Access Rights: While everybody knows you can modify access rights for users, not everyone understands how to explore and read the access group definitions and, most importantly – how to change them in a safe and controlled way in case the default Odoo access proper structure is not suitable for your company.

3. Get the best out of your email templates: The preset email templates of Odoo are powerful and neat, but touching them without proper knowledge can lead to disasters. Many companies need to improve or build their variations for efficient email communication. This module will show you how to achieve exactly that.

4. Automation Rules!: Rule the world of Odoo with automation rules and experience how they can help you automate notifications and reminders and achieve more advanced workflows, like automated data input or validations.

5. Unlimited power with Odoo Studio: Is default Odoo not enough? Do you need the proper fields or views to see your data? Would you like to create your PDF templates easily? Odoo Studio can be a double-edged sword, but if you learn to use it properly and responsibly, it will become a powerful tool that will free you from the constraints of needing technical knowledge to adjust and improve your Odoo.

6. Additional “Low-hanging fruit” possibilities in technical settings: Odoo offers various other features that can be easily configured and adjusted through technical settings. While some are better left to technical experts, many of those can help you make the life of your Odoo users much more effortless.

By the end of this course, you’ll have the expertise to optimise and customise Odoo to its fullest potential, transforming your administrative capabilities and driving your business success. Let’s get started on this exciting journey to mastering Odoo administration!
